Bushido Kwai Dojo is a family friendly Judo club based in Lewes, East Sussex teaching Judo and also JuJitsu and Kobudo.
Judo has benefits for everyone: men and women, young and old. At our dojo in the Landport Youth Centre in Lewes we welcome all standards whether you are a complete beginner or have already been graded to one of the accepted belt standards.The club teaches all the way up to black belt.
Our instructor Sensei Ray Twitchen is graded 3rd Dan in Judo and JuJitsu Shodoshei San and holds a Master’s Degree in Martial Arts. He has been teaching for over 30 years, has experience of teaching all ages, and has coached students through to national level. Sensei Robin Brandon also teaches. Both were taught by Abbe Sensei and Otani sensei. They along with able seniors bring an unmatched depth of experience working with youngsters and adults.
The Bushido Kwai Martial Art Club based in Lewes, specialises in Judo and traditional Ju-jitsu. Martial arts, cultivates self-discipline, self-respect, as well as improving your fitness and concentration. There is no better activity for building confidence and getting fit and healthy in a social environment. Children can also benefit hugely from martial arts and their confidence will flourish.
Whether your aim is just to explore and enjoy the physical activity of a martial art in a safe, controlled setting, or to progress to competitive level or a black belt, all can be assured of the very best teaching.
Come along and find out for yourself! The first session is free and although you will need the uniform (Gi) if you decide to continue just start with tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt.
